What We Do

our pubs

No two of our pubs are alike, but what they share is really high quality food and drink, a friendly well-trained team, individuality, comfortable surroundings and a sense of fun. All of our pubs have private dining rooms, which are great for celebrations. They work as meeting rooms too, offering a much more inspiring environment than any standard office or board room.

Some of our pubs offer B&B rooms. We have many business guests who live with us during the week, and we also attract visitors for weekend breaks. We have wireless broadband to keep you in touch, and we promise to offer a great Peach welcome that you’ll never find in a branded hotel.

OUR ETHICS

Serving the food and drink we would want to be served ourselves, working with suppliers we like and trust, caring for the environment, supporting local enterprise and enjoying life. These are the things that get us out of bed in the morning. We buy as much fantastic British produce as we can and train our chefs to cook seasonally so we keep food miles to a minimum and support local enterprise.

We care about food ethics; all our chicken, eggs, pork and ice cream are free-range and we visit our farmers to see how their animals are reared. Even our sugar lumps are fair trade.

OUR food

Value = quality x price. We don’t do 2 for 1 offers, because we spend proper money on proper fresh ingredients from ethical suppliers, cook them with skill and serve them at a sensible price. Seasonality is not a fad with us – our menus have changed with each season for years now.

OUR drink

We care about our real ales, and more than half our pubs are free houses. We serve premium lagers and spirits at pub prices and visit as many of the wine-makers on our short but carefully-chosen list as we can.

What we give back

As well as sharing with our people, we like to share with the communities we work in, and put something back into our world.

Not only are we committed to sustainable buying practices, but we also put energy efficient equipment in our kitchens and are working hard to reduce our food waste. Still, every day at least three trucks pull up at every one of our pubs, delivering fresh ingredients, and our pubs use power and heat so we know we’re contributing to global warming. Our way of dealing with it is to grow our own forest in Africa to help cancel out our C0² emissions via The Peach Foundation.

The Peach Foundation is a grant giving organisation with two strands, both of which aim to improve communities and future sustainability of our world.

The first strand promotes and supports projects that make a real difference to the communities we live and work in. For every Caesar Salad sold we will donate 25p to the foundation. This raises approximately £1000 annually per pub, which is spent on projects relating to food provenance, healthy eating, sports education and the environment.

The second strand supports the Enonkishu Conservancy to deliver our vision of conserving one of Africa’s increasingly fragile ecosystems. Our aim is to plant 20,000 trees in the area over the next year, while also investing in sustainable farming practices and community projects.
